Architectural Court Roof of the London Museum

This is a great roof architectural design. As you can see from the photos the new tessellated roof designed by w:Foster and Partners created a glass roof, with an interesting geometry, arching around the original, to covered the court at the British Museum. The undulating, steel lattice supports 3,312 unique triangular glass panels. Each one is different in size and shape because of the roof’s complex geometric shape.

Bellow I’ll give you some technical facts about this  futurist glass roof: it covers an area of 6,000m2 and weighs 800 tons, the glass is supported by 12 kms of steel and contains 3,312 individual panels of glass, each one a unique triangle.
In my opinion this architecture is a great futurist public space.
