Berlin Hauptbahnhof, metal and glass perfect combination for a great design

It is the largest rally station from Europe  with a futuristic architecture designed by  gmp-architekten von Gerkan, Marg und Partner.  Berlin Hauptbahnhof is a very modern and big construction created from metal and glass panels that allow sunlight shining into the building, it also ha been constructed on 2 levels as you can see form the photos. It was built between 2002- 2006 and this railway station was built to replace the old railway station from 1871 and 1882 Lehrte Station. For this architecture construction it was been used  85.000 t  for the structural steel and 500.000 m³ of concrete.
