Acknowledged with two prestigious design awards at the MAISON & OBJET exhibition in Paris 2008 where it was first presented, the Wave Hammock is indeed a unique leisure creation of the Swedish designer duo Erik Nyberg and Gustav Ström and produced by Royal Botania, a specialist in exclusive garden furniture. Reminding of a hammock but yet beyond compare, the Wave Hammock  is neither a hammock, a sun chair, nor a parasol which are viewed as just a functional addition to a terrace or poolside, but an artwork of high design and aesthetic value and those who see it seem immediately inspired to own one. Gentle invitation to relax, it seems to float calmly off the ground, mimicking a surfing break, and the seafoam green of the canopy conjures the scent of the ocean. It looks as if the wind may carry it up and away and so comfortable. It’s innovative design transforms it into a luxurious outdoor furniture which is defined by quality, refinement, and precision. The Wave Hammock features electro-polished stainless steel and perforated fabric which is semitransparent while at the same time offering protection by blocking 86 percent of the sun’s rays. Its construction can withstand strong forces from people, weather, and wind.
