Industrial designer Joel Escalona have in he’s portofolio a very special collection of furniture for home, called Rocky Collection, that has won two design awards already: the ICONOS DEL DISEÑO (Design Icons) by Condé Nast’s Architectural Digest Magazine as Best Furniture Design, and at the Sexta Bienal Nacional de Diseño 2011 (Sixth National Design Biennial 2011), the most important design award in Mexico, also in the Furniture Design category – 3rd place. There’s no coincidence that Rocky collection was awarded, because it includes uniquely stylish pieces of furniture that charms everyone. Designed for NONO, the Rocky Collection features five different furniture pieces: a wardrobe, a coffee table, a TV cabinet, a bar and a credenza. With their outstanding design, they enhance and add beauty and a feel of opulence to any modern living room.
Not to mention that the idea of combining a black exterior or a white one with a red interior was very clever and creative, making them more attractive than would have been if they don’t have the red color. These appealing pieces of furniture are made of lacquered bank (wood) with an interesting geometry and with stainless steel legs.
