A 457 m2 modern residence located in an exclusive waterfront Buenos Aires neighborhood with privileged views of sky and lagoon, that integrates two amazing pools is for sure a dream house for anyone with a passion for swimming, not only for the owner of this permanent home. Characterized by minimalist elegance, the Pool House inspires extravagant modern living, taking the client’s love for swimming to another level.
Envisioned by Vanguard Architects, the sleek retreat features an angular architecture, designed as an inverted L layout in order to accomplish the main owner’s desire of having wider perspectives at the rear of the land, to the vast lagoon. This geometry allowed as well to create a long path towards the entrance of the residence, where both pedestrian and vehicle access is possible. In front of it, there are aligned the garages, the service rooms (laundry, pantry), a study room, one bedroom, one bathroom and a barbecue area. The main entrance is revealed by a sleek steel bar in a façade of wood, concrete and glass. The architects used Kiri wood tinged with a darker tone and placed it as cladding of a brick wall and concrete structure, which is connected to the ground of the house.
Inside, a series of open spaces were created, strongly connected with the magnificent surrounding environment. Thus, every room is positioned to embrace the beautiful view of the lagoon, being flooded with natural light thanks to the façade of clear, translucent glass. The social areas (the kitchen, the dining room, the gallery and the living room) are placed on the ground floor from the access hall around an inner yard showcasing stylish contemporary design in a neutral color palette mixed up in visual harmony.
One of the main elements, which immediately draws attention is the large swimming pool that have an interior-exterior placement, which makes you think that it is one and the same, but in fact there are two separate pools, the continuity of them being only visual. The wonderful view of the lagoon can be seen from the minimalist white kitchen as well. The upper floor is designed around the double-height space as well as the living room accommodating two full guest suites and a large office with sliding doors made for the owners’ work which opens to a balcony with splendid unobstructed vistas of neighboring properties and an endless sky.
