Brooklyn-based furniture designer Paul Loebach creates the Watson Table, an original furniture piece, which appears at once familiar and unlike anything you’ve seen before. In designing it, he took inspiration from the helical structure of DNA discovered by the famous American scientist, James Watson, and from the English furniture of the late 1600’s, with its distinctive open wood turnings, also called ‘barley twists’.

Loebach’s distinct approach to craftmanship blends aerospace composite technology and traditional boatbuilding craft, wood and carbon fiber are combined together, providing a maximum of strength using a minimum of material. The Watson Table is surely to be a bold statement for any interior decor due to its simple, yet modern elegant design.
