So, you’re in your 20s and looking to branch out on your own. Where should you live? If you’re considering Toronto, it’s with good reason. Many good reasons, actually.  Here are just a few of the best reasons to start your adult life in this amazing city.

Why live in Toronto in your 20s-

You’ll be among your people

Thanks to the fact that Toronto is home to many post-secondary institutions, there is a large segment of the population who are recent graduates in their 20s. That means you’ll find it relatively easy to find people your age with whom to make friends (or to date!)

You won’t need a car

If you are just starting out in life, there’s a really good chance you won’t have the money for a car. In Toronto, you won’t need one. The city has an amazing transit system that will allow you to commute easily. If you live downtown, everything you could possibly want is within easy walking distance or, if biking is your thing, there’s a vibrant bike culture in the city, too.

It’s a great city for night owls

If you love the nightlife (and love to boogie?) Toronto is a great city to live in. You can get something to eat, go shopping, take in a movie, etc. in the late hours. Many restaurants are even open 24 hours a day, so you can indulge your cravings whenever they strike.

Be who you are!

No matter who you are – male, female, transgendered, gay, straight, black, white, whatever!! – you will be among friends in Toronto. It is an extremely diverse city with communities of just about every race, colour, sexual identity, religion and whatever else makes you, you!

We know, you don’t have a lot of money in your 20s. But you still have to eat, right?  From food trucks to pizza joints, there’s always a nearby place to grab a cheap bite in Toronto.

There’s always something to do

You don’t have to spend lots of money to have a great time in Toronto. Yes, there are pricey restaurants, clubs and sports venues that will could put some serious strain on your wallet, but there is also a plethora of free or very inexpensive festivals, concert series, events and more than you can get more than your fair share of fun for not much money at all.

If you are looking to set up shop in your 20s, Toronto is a great place to live. You can rent an apartment, but if you are looking to buy your own place, Toronto offers many condo buildings such as those as 33 gerrard street west that are perfect for anyone looking to live close to the action of what Toronto has to offer.
