The National Museum of Contemporary Arts in Rome or the MAXXI is recognized as “Building of the Year” in November 2010 by the World Architecture Festival jury. Opened last year, on may 30th, MAXXI is a “must see” museum. It’s the first Italian museum dedicated to contemporary art, its spaces being dedicated to permanent collections and temporary art and architecture exhibitions.
Zaha Hadid Architects complete this project over a total period of more than 10 years, but now it’s an impressive building that integrates perfectly into the area’s typology of the Flaminio neighborhood. They use glass, concrete ans steel to give spaces a neutral appearance. (more…)
