Product designers Enrico Bosa and Isabella Lovero from en&is imagine Megaphone, a passive amplifier with an attractive and original look that isn’t actually similar with an ordinary megaphone regarding its aesthetic, but rather has the form of a blowing horn used in medieval times. Simple yet ingenious solution, it’s created especially for using with iPhone, it’s meant for those of you who want listening to music without headphones or for those who are in an audio conference. Megaphone is special for some interesting features.
The creative combination between ceramic with glossy finishes in white, black and gold for the passive amplifier’s body and natural wood for the support, give the product a surprising and charming modern appearance. We find it really beautiful as a decorative object too. Designers didn’t choose its form randomly, this one amplifies and optimizes the best sound output. But it doesn’t make this with batteries or electricity, it uses pure acoustic amplification.
Its thin wooden frame designed as support has the role of increasing the vibration of the object and optimizing the emission of sound by allowing it to float off the table. This Megaphone speaker is compatible with iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch (from the second generation onwards) with case.
