The heritage British fragrance house, Penhaligon, launched its first offering last year in Singapore, Asia. With a background in brand development and interior design, London based design practice Jenner Studio created a fresh and innovative image for the first fragrance boutique Penhaligon in Asia. Incredibly charming, this interior design is an invitation into the youthful, eccentric and fun world of Penhaligon’s. With the purpose to create a modern approach for Penhaligon’s brand heritage and to reinforce the luxury credibility of the brand and , Jenner Studio incorporated unique design features, where classical design elements were mixed up with contemporary touches. Inspired by classical Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian design styles, they combined them and beautifully harmonised with contemporary details.

Luxurious colours, textures, surfaces, forms and finishes were achieved. They used traditional Georgian woodcarving, Edwardian mosaic, created from French pottery inlaid with brass and custom brass handles and ceiling decorations and trade sign, re-established along the lines of the Victorian era, with the use of gold, glass and hardwood. All these contrast with vibrant fuchsia hues with the particularly striking padded ‘pin-cushion’ leather walls and bespoke ‘ribbon’ carbon fibre stools. The end result is a design that heralds eccentric British craftsmanship and style. Look at these photos and tell us what do you think.
